Granular is a Mac desktop app that puts a plain-English chat interface in front of real terminals and real files. Our Take on Granular
Granular fills a real gap: agent-capable tools have historically required comfort with the terminal, but Granular wraps that power in a chat interface any non-developer can use. The boss-and-worker agent model is particularly well-thought-out — one agent plans and delegates, others execute in parallel branches, and changes merge back when done.
The tradeoffs are real though. Today it is Mac-only (Windows is waitlisted), and Gemini support was still rolling out at launch. The free tier caps project and session counts, so anyone doing serious parallel work will need the Pro or lifetime tier.
At $259 once for lifetime Pro access with all future updates, the pricing is straightforward. For non-technical founders, marketers, or ops people who want to use AI agents the way developers do — without becoming developers — it is a credible, well-designed option.

Founder and Company Information
Granular was built by Omar Farook, a London-based designer and serial founder who previously founded Glorify.com, a graphic design SaaS tool for e-commerce, which he exited to Leadpages (owned by Redbrick).
