Our Take on Consently
Cookie compliance is one of those tasks that most small site owners put off because every tool in the space either costs too much per domain or hides critical features behind a higher tier. Consently fixes both problems at once: one price per domain bundle, every feature on every plan.
The scanner is genuinely useful and was meaningfully improved after early accuracy complaints in the AppSumo community. Weekly scheduled scans plus on-demand runs mean the cookie list stays current as your tech stack grows. The three bundled policy generators are a real differentiator; most CMPs include at most two.
The honest caveats: the product launched in October 2025 and has roughly 25-28 AppSumo reviews averaging about 4.0 out of 5. There is no independent G2 or Capterra footprint yet. Some third-party scripts can still fire before consent on certain widgets, and there is no CSV export for bulk cookie classification. For an SMB, agency, or multi-site operator, those are workable trade-offs. For a large regulated enterprise, they are not.

Yes. Consently installs via a single line of JavaScript added to a site's head section, or via a Google Tag Manager container. This means it works on WordPress, Wix, Webflow, Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Framer, and any custom or static site. No platform-specific plugin is required.
Do subdomains count as separate domains against my plan limit?▼
No. Subdomains are covered under the root domain and do not consume an additional domain slot. Pageviews from subdomains do count toward the shared monthly pageview allowance on the account, so factor that in when choosing a tier.
What happens if I exceed my monthly pageview limit?▼
The consent banner keeps running; Consently does not auto-charge you or force an upgrade when you hit the ceiling. You will receive an email alert before you reach the limit so you have time to upgrade if needed. Only Tier 1 has a pageview cap; Tiers 2 and above include unlimited pageviews.
